Position: Armed Security Officer (2nd and 3rd Shift)

Responsibilities:
Specific Duties and Essential Functions:
- Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
- Monitor for any irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or notify authorities in case of fire or unauthorized individuals
- Enforce rules and regulations, warning violators of infractions
- Grant access to authorized individuals and monitor entrances and exits
- Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current armed security officer license issued by the State of Florida, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
- Successful completion of a mental health assessment

Other Requirements:
- Minimum age: 24 years old (for vehicle insurance purposes)
- U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Cordial interaction and communication with the public
- Subject to drug screening (as permitted by law)
- Provide DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated (if prior military)
Physical Requirements and Environment:
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with moderate to extreme temperatures
- Activities include walking, standing, speaking, listening, and observing
- Minimal to no stooping or kneeling required
